PEUGEOT 307'S IN DENMARK MELTING!

Peugeot-307

Denmark - Peugeot 307s have caught fire or partially melted while parked with the engine off, Peugeot dealers have reported.
The cause was initially a mystery and Peugeot urged owners of 307's to "take precautions: do not leave children or pets in the car for an extended period"
Peugeot Denmark specified that the problem had not occurred while the cars were being driven and all the affected cars were only Peugeot 307 1.6 and two-litre models built before June 2003.
A Peugeot technical team was assigned to the problem and eventually determined that corrosion caused by salt (used on roads to melt snow and ice) had caused short-circuits in the power-steering pump. OK, now how many of us believe this?
