The All-New Subaru WRX STI:
2006-Subaru-Sti

Specs:

Engine Capacity: 2.5 litre
Gearbox: 6-speed Manual
Power: 206kW
Torque: 392 Nm

As all enthusiasts will know they've upped the engince capacity from 2.0 to 2.5 litres and according to Subaru this was not only to increase performance but the torque makes the overall driveability in most conditions that much better.

For the un-initiated: STI stands for Subaru Technica International which is the high-performance and motorsports division of Fuji Heavy Industries. What this ultimately means is that when driving an STI you are driving a car bred for racing, in rallies. The WRX STI receives it's motorsports technology straight from the Subaru World Rally Championship.
The 206 kW converts to about 300 horsepower and the 392 Nm of torque to 300 lb-ft; that added to the Subaru Symmetrical all-wheel-drive means some serious power and stability. You can really throw this car into corners and it sticks to the road. It also means that you can get from 0 to 100 km/h in around 5.0 seconds.

The cosmetic changes have been dramatic and increased the "beauty" of this performer. The headlights, grille, front bumper and bonnet have all been changed to give the car a sleeker, yet in no way less mean look. Subaru have increased the overall length of the car by 50mm which both increased the aerodynamic efficiency as well as bettering the airflow over the bonnet. This has meant the intercooler air intake, or scoop, has been lowered by 19mm compared to it's predecessor. An odd piece of equipment added to the car is the Driver Controlled Centre Differential. This allows the driver to control and vary the fron-to-rear distribution up to 50/50 max. This is meant to let the driver optimize the all-wheel-drive but if you, as a driver, do not fully understand what you're doing this is best left alone. Or else chew away your tyres quick and fast.

All in all a serious motor vehicle and if you're a car enthusiast this is definitely worth a penny or two...
