Monaco F1 Grand Prix 2007

Qualifying, 26th May 2007 - It looked set to be a wet qualifying session from the start although the rain did never come. Alonso broke the spell of a Ferrari on pole for the first time this season. Some would say that was actually broken by Kimi in the second session when he put his car into the Armco barrier at the swimming pool section of this grand, Grand Prix circuit. Truth be told though, the Mclaren drivers - Alonso and Hamilton - did push their cars and themselves to the limit. ALonso did well to get the upperhand against his "junior" partner after some rumours floating around the paddock about tussles between the two.
