Date - 05/11/2005 - Thierry Henry scored twice and Robin Van Persie once to seal victory over a Sunderland team that never looked likely to do much better than lose. Arsenal hardly looked to put any real effort into the game and yet still managed to score 3 goals. Click the logo to read more...

Date - 05/11/2005 - In a match that surprised no-one with the lack of quality Liverpool managed to pull off their first back-to-back victories in the Premiership this season away at Aston Villa. Click on the logo for more...

Liverpool were outplayed at home by Fulham who beat them 2-0. A poor show with Liverpool missing Steven Gerrard and them playing a style of football that seemed better suited on the continent than in the Premiership. Read more here.

Manchester United have continued on their bad form for the season and look set to be behind Chelsea for the rest of it, by some distance. Yesterday Man United drew, again, in a game where they once again showed their inability to capitalise on goal scoring opportunities. With 2 penalty claims for Tottenham being waved away by referee Uriah Rennie the scoreline could have been completely different. There was an ugly periond in the second half when things became abit rough with Wayne Rooney, Edgar Davids, Jermaine Jenas and Paul Stalteri all being booked in quick succession. Read more here.

One of the strangest penalty takings ever seen in foootball took place yesterday with Robert Pires taking the penalty, but not quite. He tried to pass the ball to Thierry Henry only managing to touch it and resulting in the referee, Mike Riley, giving Manchester City a free kick. This move was apparently practised on the training ground by himself and Henry but the ball simply failed to make as far as the expectant Henry. The gunners still managed to win 1-0 and moved up into 7th on the log with a goal difference of 6. Read more here.

Date - 10/09/2005 - The Blues were nowhere near their best and still managed to get all 3 points against Sunderland. The chances in the first half were few and far between and Chelsea only upped their game at the beginning of the second half.

Date - 10/09/2005 - The Manchester Derby at the Theatre Of Dreams was a bit of an eye-opener for fans and the team alike as they were held to a 1-all draw. Not the most spectacular match ever but showed Man Utd has a weakness - they are not scoring enough goals.

Date - 13/08/2005 - Liverpool could only pull off a draw against Middlesborough even though they only had ten men with Steven Gerrard missing a few good chances.

Date - 13/08/2005 - Off to a good start - that's what most Man Utd fans will be thinking. The Red Devils kicked off their premiership season with an away win at Goodison Park against Everton. Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Wayne Rooney scored either side of half time. Click on the image for more...
